About this water intake calculator
- Base calculation: 35ml per kg body weight (standard clinical guideline)
- Activity adjustment: +250ml (light) to +750ml (heavy exercise)
- Climate adjustment: +200ml (moderate) to +400ml (hot & humid) — India-specific
- Caffeine offset: ~125ml per cup of chai/coffee to compensate for diuretic effect
- Pregnancy (+300ml) and breastfeeding (+700ml) adjustments per WHO guidelines
